Womans Health

Get checked- It could save your life

We would encourage you regardless of your disability, ethnicity, gender reassignment, religion or sexual orientation to attend the screening for your age.

Cervical screening:

Aged 25-64 every 5 years

Breast screening:

Aged 50-70 every 3 years

Aged over 70- you can self refer to breast screening by contacting your local screening centre 0141 8008800

Bowel screening:

Aged 50-74 every 2 years

If you are aged between 50 to 74 you will receive a bowel cancer screening kit every 2 years. It is very important that you complete and return this test.  This simple test can detect bowel cancer at an early stage. If its detected early enough there's a 9 out of 10 chance of beating it.  You should complete the test even if you've had no symptoms and feel fine. Please visit for more information.
