Mens Health

Get checked- It could save your life

We would encourage you regardless of your disability, ethnicity, gender reassignment, religion or sexual orientation to attend the screening for your age.

Bowel screening:

Aged 50-74 every 2 years

If you are aged between 50 to 74 you will receive a bowel cancer screening kit every 2 years. It is very important that you complete and return this test.  This simple test can detect bowel cancer at an early stage. If its detected early enough there's a 9 out of 10 chance of beating it.  You should complete the test even if you've had no symptoms and feel fine. Please visit www.bowelscreening.scot.nhs.uk/ for more information.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm screening (AAA):

Aged 65

Prostate Cancer:

There is no national screening programme for prostate cancer because we don’t have a reliable enough test to use. Please follow the link below for further info.
