TUESDAY 4TH FEBRUARY 2020

The surgery will be under going an IT upgrade on the above date from 11.30 am until the morning of Wednesday 5th February 2020.  Unfortunately we will have no access to the computer system, which means we will be unable to book appointments or issue prescriptions.  There will also be no bookable appointments that afternoon but we will provide on the day emergency appointments. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

If you have not yet had your flu vaccine yet, please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment.

We now have an ANP (Advanced Nurse Practitioner)

She will see patients with acute minor medical issues such as uti's, ear infections, chest infections, skin infections etc.  You will be encouraged by the reception staff to see the ANP (when available)instead of a GP for conditions such as above.  This will allow GP'S to see patients with potentially more serious conditions.

We now have a Mental Health Nurse working within our practice.  If you need a mental health review and do not attend any other mental health/addiction services and are over 18, give us a call to make an appointment.

 NEW TEXT MESSAGING (SMS) SERVICE

We are now using a texting service which will allow us to contact patients more easily, whether it is to invite you for chronic disease management or to ask you to phone us to discuss results. This system will allow us to send you a message with confirmation of an appointment you have booked and will allow you to cancel an appointment by sending us a message back. Saving you having to call us.

Please let us know your mobile number if you already haven't already done so

You can opt out of this form of communication if you wish. Just let one of the receptionists know.
