Please telephone for results after 14.00. Your clinician should give you an estimate of the appropriate time period to wait before telephoning for results. Once we have received a result it will be reviewed by a doctor and a comment will be recorded.
You may be contacted by us if the result is abnormal and further action is required. If the test result is normal, it will be recorded as such. Always make sure you have obtained the result of any test performed. When you telephone for your results our administrative staff will relay the clinicians comments and are not able to interpret results further.
Please note that we have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only forward on clinical information to a third party if it is documented that the patient has given permission for us to do so.
